Throughout, Michael skillfully manipulates melodic and rhythmic fragments as they are developed and passed from section to section. A brief slow section and tender chorale provide a poignant calm before the celebration of rhythm and dance returns for the uplifting conclusion. A rewarding piece that is fun to play!
