La melodía ‘Wachet Auf’ (‘Durmientes, despertad’) no fue compuesta por Bach, pero fue utilizada por él en tres de los siete movimientos de su Cantata nº 141. Este arreglo presenta adaptaciones de los movimientos tercero y último de la Cantata. Se ha añadido una introducción, así como un final para el Gloria, para una presentación más cohesiva.
